Meet Nooka, my little Wolf pup

Well this little cutie is what I've been waiting years for! This is 'Nooka' She's a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog puppy and in this photo she is only 5weeks old.

These dogs are a fairly new breed, and came about in 1955 when a German Shepherd was crossed with a Carpathian Wolf and bred back to the wolf again in the eighties to put more content into the breed. The pure Czech dogs were used at first for military duty - but these days the dogs can function well as a pet. However they can be trained as sniffer dogs, guide dogs for the blind or as search and rescue dogs. The Pure Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is a very rare dog with reportedly only 2500 in the world.

'Nooka' is such a little sweetie and is settling in wonderfully to her new home with me. There will be many more photo's to come of her, she's growing bigger by the day!
